ACUPUNCTURE & MASSAGE

Each treatment includes a combination of acupuncture and massage. The addition of massage supports the acupuncture treatment. It calms the nervous system, alleviates pain, and provides valuable information about blockages and problems areas. The "hands on" time spent is valuable for both diagnosis and treatment. After a detailed intake and history, a specialized treatment plan is created. Every treatment is customized to the patient’s specific needs.

“Lou Lou is a life saver! I’ve been dealing with chronic neck and shoulder pain for years, and in a few short months she’s gotten me to a much better place with my pain. She also does acupuncture AND massage therapy, which is such an amazing combination in one therapist.”

HERBS OILS FOOD & FLOWERS

The hands on session is only part of the treatment. Depending on the condition, there may be a patent herbal formula, essential oil blend, dietary change, or flower essence blend to work with in between appointments. The work that happens outside the treatment room is just as important as the treatment. Food and plant medicine can be a powerful ally in the healing process.

WOMEN’S HEALTH

The phrase “women’s health” is about much more than fertility and menstruation. Most conditions are a complex combination of symptoms including digestive issues, emotional blocks, stress, chronic pain and hormone imbalance. These impact every area of a woman’s life. When a woman comes in for fertility support we address the whole and work towards balance.

I have a very high success rate of helping women achieve healthy pregnancies. But we achieve that together by bringing the whole body into balance -- with acupuncture, food energetics, herbs, stress management, and lifestyle counseling

“Lou Lou is the best! She helped me prepare my body for and then during a healthy pregnancy. And overall, she brings joy and a focus on self-care into my life. She's a balance to living in New York, and I love going to see her.”

PAIN MANAGEMENT

I have been treating pain for over 15 years -- first as a massage therapist, and now as an acupuncturist. I find unless there has been some sort of physical trauma or accident, 90% of pain originates in the muscles and fascia. From sports injuries to compensation patterns, to repetitive stress conditions, releasing the soft tissue alleviates pain. Acupuncture along with massage, is one of the best ways to relieve soft tissue issues, and can often provide immediate relief.

"LouLou is a master with her hands and her needles. She got me to the starting line of the Boston Marathon and helped put me back together when I finished. I've recommended her to countless friends and fellow athletes and do so without hesitation".

- Diane Weinberger, Founder, Hamptons Marathon

STRESS MANAGEMENT

Stress can be tied to just about every one of our modern day ailments. It disrupts digestion, interferes with fertility and shuts down our immune systems. It creates inflammation which causes pain in our muscles and joints, raises our blood pressure and cholesterol, affects our sleep and mood. Relieving stress can be the single most important thing you can do for your overall health. Acupuncture is one of the best ways to alleviate stress. It manual switches the body from “fight or flight” into “rest and digest”. It supports the adrenals, lowers blood pressure, reboots the nervous system and reduces inflammation.

“Lou Lou is fantastic, and truly a magician. She really works with you to find the problem (be it tense muscles, low energy, or stress) and work on a solution. I have been going to her for almost two years now, and would not go anywhere else! Book an appointment, and be ready to float home.”

HEALTH & WELLNESS

The best time to treat any ailment is before it starts. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine are uniquely positioned to find imbalances before they progress into more serious conditions.  Insomnia, anxiety, aches and pains, poor digestion, immune system issues, fatigue -- these are all signs of a body out of balance. In Chinese medicine we believe that these small symptoms are the precursors to larger problems. Acupuncture address these issues and helps to resolve them. The best medicine is preventative. Acupuncture, herbs, food energetics and lifestyle counseling can be used to support optimal health and prevent illness.Read Avit
